Art for CAP “Online”

Art for CAP Website Logo

Please do come and visit us online

Over the last few years, a group of artists has emerged in Yeovil who have donated their art, mostly paintings, and have opened three pop up shops in order to sell them on behalf of the Yeovil CAP Centre. about £10000 has been raised over those three or so years. Sadly, because of the Pandemic this year, we are not able to run a shop, so we are turning our attention to selling online.

We have now almost completed our new website, and are ready to go at the beginning of October. There will be about 100 paintings available from 4 local artists, and we are open to receiving other donations from other artists. Prices are between £35 and £350 so far, but we have tried to emulate the way things were in the shop, where people could make offers on paintings, which reflect what they can really afford. Bear in mind that these are donations to the CAP Centre in Yeovil, rather than payments to the artists for their work. Consequently, we have designed the site to enable people to make offers on a picture they like and if accepted, they will be sent a token for discount to reduce the cost for a limited time only.

Most importantly, we need to spread the message widely, so please feel free to do your best to publicise the new site and the pages in Facebook (Art for CAP new) and on Instagram (David Upton – Art for CAP). We shall invest in a small quantity of regular advertising, mostly on the basis of the likes and followers of both these pages, and we are asking that all church members in the Yeovil CAP area go to these pages and either like, follow or comment on posts. The adverts are then to followers and their friends, so the more we have the better.

The web site can be found at:

Please feel free to visit it, and then recommend others as widely as possible to visit it, and seriously consider buying art for Christmas or birthday presents, or just as a gift to yourself or others.
